This piece was based on a quote from Bruce Mau’s An Incomplete Manifesto for Growth where I hand composed and printed an expressive typographic composition with the use of a letterpress. I had chosen DRIFT which emphasizes the importance of being experimental and adventurous in design.  My vision for this project was to physically express the "drifting" through the breaking of the letters by unfolding the paper. Working with folded paper on the letterpress was challenging as I had to have the hidden type correctly spaced when creating the composition. After a lot of experimentation, I was able to create this piece where I was able to push the boundaries of typography to express the meaning behind the quote.
